My youngest child is obsessed with tigers. She even covered herself in tiger stripes the other day, in permanent marker. She was committed. It’s not a surprise that she fell in love with A Tiger Like Me by Michael Engler. I’m thrilled to partner with Amazon Crossing Kids to introduce you to the book and give you a free printable jungle safari book, exclusive to Red Wolf Press!

A Tiger Like Me is an adorable picture book about a child who thinks he’s a tiger. It follows the child through his day, creating a tiger-tinted window for the reader to look through. We get to experience brushing teeth, roaring at parents, pouncing, and going to bed (among other things) that tigers do.

With lyrical writing and breathtaking illustrations, this charming picture book is the perfect bedtime read-aloud for tiger-obsessed children. Told in first person, children can easily see themselves as the hero of the story. If you have a child that loves tigers, jungles, or wild animals, add this adorable picture book to your bedtime stack. It’s well worth it.

To celebrate A Tiger Like Me, I created a free printable jungle safari book your kids can fold and cut (origami-style) into a mini counting book. Keep reading to find out more about the book, get the free printable jungle safari book, and enter the giveaway for a copy of A Tiger Like Me!

Life is more fun when you’re a tiger like me!

A little boy—um, no, a tiger!—tells us all about what he gets up to on an ordinary day: how he wakes up in his tiger den, what he eats for breakfast at his feeding spot, and how little tigers feel when they are wide awake, hungry, thirsty, or in the mood for adventures. But at night, even the wildest of tigers are happy to curl up in bed with Tiger-Mom and Tiger-Dad and become a cuddly little tiger cub.

With warm illustrations and playful text, this delightful story first published in Germany shows just how sweet life can be for a little tiger!
