11 Bookish Easter Basket Ideas for Kids!
Turkey’s Eggcellent Easter (Turkey Trouble) by Wendi Silvano, illustrated by Lee Harper
Turkey and his barnyard friends are at it again in this hilarious and goofy Easter egg hunt! Turkey wants to find a special egg and win a prize, but only kids are allowed at the egg hunt. So Turkey dons a costume (or several) and goes undercover.
Picture books don’t usually make me laugh out loud, but this one cracked me up. I loved it!

Sesame Street Scribbles: The Great Easter Race by Craig Manning, illustrated by Ernie Kwiat
The Scribbles series from Sesame Street is super cute and my kids always love seeing the familiar characters.
Elmo and the rest of the gang from Sesame Street are meeting together for the big Easter race. This is a fun twist on the traditional Easter book with friendly competition, and of course, the popular characters that kids love.

The Littlest Bunny in North Carolina: An Easter Adventure by Lily Jacobs, illustrated by Robert Dunn
I got this book a few years ago and my kids LOVE the fact that it incorporates the names and places of our state in the story. You can find this book available for all 50 states and some of the major cities in Canada.
It’s a fun and sweet story about a brother and sister who adopt a rabbit but don’t realize they’ve adopted the Easter Bunny. The rabbit has to sneak out, fulfill his Easter duties, and get back before the kids notice he’s gone.

As long as we’re talking about popular children’s book characters and Easter basket ideas, we have to mention Llama Llama. This series is so sweet and I love that Anna Dewdney wrote an Easter story.

7 years agoDang it! I wish I’d stopped by here before Easter! But I’m so far behind on blogging that I didn’t manage to!!
We actually own the I Love you Hunny Bunny book! But I’m totally adding some of these to next year’s list so I can do an Easter book basket too! I love the look of God Gave Us Easter because it looks like a great way to broach the religious topic of someone literally dying for us for Easter… Thanks Dena!

7 years ago AUTHORDefinitely!
The Hunny Bunny book is so cute! I also like the idea of keeping Jesus as the focus of Easter. It’s the whole reason for the holiday, and it’s pretty extraordinary, really. Thanks for stopping by!
