Concept books comes in all shapes and sizes. Board books, lift-the-flap, sit on my lap, picture books. There are concept books for colors, shapes, sizes, numbers, letters, and many other things for toddlers to learn.

My toddler is a wiggler. She doesn’t sit still for much – not even books. However, she does love a good concept book. If we count, lift, or sound out letters, she’s a pretty happy baby. These five concept books are new to our bookshelves and some of our favorites. It’s not too hard to see why, either. They’re adorable!

Adventures with Barefoot Critters: An ABC Book by Teagan White

Learn your letters with this adorable alphabet book. The animal characters march through each month of the year and describe the activities they complete during that time. Their activities also coordinate with the alphabet, so you’re learning letters and months of the year at the same time.
