As a product or book reviewer, chances are you will need to find a direct link to your review on Amazon and Goodreads at one point or another. It’s not hard to do, but it can be really frustrating if you don’t know how.

Most companies and websites that offer books or products for review ask for a direct link to your review on a retail website. Since I get asked quite frequently for instructions on how to find a direct link to an Amazon review, I put together this step-by-step tutorial, complete with screenshots.

*Because Amazon keeps changing, I’ve updated this post a few times. These directions are current as of February 11, 2021.

How to Find a Direct Link to Your Amazon Review

Step 1:

Log in to Amazon and click on “Account” from the Account and Lists drop-down menu.

Step 2:

You are now on your account page. Scroll down until you see the “Ordering and Shopping Preferences” section. Click on “Your Amazon Profile”.

Step 3:

You are now on your profile page. All the product reviews you’ve written will be on the right-hand side. Scroll down until you find the review you want. Click “See full review”.

Step 4:

You should be on a page labeled “Customer Review”. Click on the “Permalink” link at the bottom of your review.

Step 5:

Highlight the URL at the top of the page. This is the direct link to your Amazon review. Copy and paste into your email or form when you’re submitting your review.

How to Find a Direct Link to Your Goodreads Review:

Step 1:

Log in to Goodreads and do a search for the book you reviewed. In this case, I was searching for Forbidden by Kimberley Griffiths Little. Click on the book.

Step 2:

You are now on the book’s main page. Scroll down until you see your review. It should be the first one. Click on “See Review”. (If you don’t see your review, you are either not logged in or you haven’t posted your review correctly.)

Step 3:

Now you are on a page displaying only your review. Highlight the link at the top. This is your direct link. Copy and paste this link into your email or form when you report your book review.

    Thanks for the tutorial, just tried it out on my iPad & found I had to log into Amazon through a browser, not the app and after clicking the permalink nothing came up in the address bar, but I discovered that when I long pressed on the permalink a pop-up (well, popped up) with a few options one of them being “copy” this then obtained the link for forwarding
